By NZA on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 - 08:15 pm:

    Hi,

In case anyone is interested, I became the proud mum to a little girl last Tuesday, March 5th.

We are all well - she is the most amazing little creature I have ever had the priviledge of meeting.

I want details. Weight, length, gestational age, c-section/natural, how were you during the whole ordeal?

I hope that both you and the baby are happy and healthy.

    Congratulations.

To NZA II: Praise all your gods you are a New
Zealander, among the luckiest folks on the
planet for a great place to live. No one really
makes fun of New Zealanders. Yet.

And its gonna stay that way.

    ; )

By NZA on Friday, March 22, 2002 - 12:16 am:

    OK - details -
    Aislin Sappho
    3.16kg (6lb15oz)
    c-section (emergency, not elective)
5 hours of labour, only 3cm dilated

(I started bleeding quite heavily when labour started, so I knew at that point my plans for an active water birth were out the window)

The main thing is - she is healthy, and the most precious wee creature in the world!

By Platypus on Friday, March 22, 2002 - 12:42 am:

Everybody I know is popping these days.

It's a pity about the c-section, though. I can imagine that it would be disappointing to have to get a c-section if you were planning on something more holistic...At any rate, I'm glad she came out healthy...the next generation of Sorabji. (sorabji^2?)
