Painted, painted and then painted some more........

Working in Hayley's room, getting it ready for her birthday suprise. She knows we are in the process of re-decorating her room, but she doesn't have a clue as to what is coming. Her walls are now a butter yellow, and her doors are "heath" green which is kinda like a pastel, but a little brighter. Her trim is all white. All I have left to do before the big day is put one more coat of green on the doors. I have the desk part of her desk in a pure white with a hint of mint in it (the same as her bookcase) and have to finish the drawers, and then do the chair. On her birthday, all will change in there. We have all of the new bedding, curtains and pillows hidden, with walhangings and decorative pieces, a new jewlery box (painted to match) and will be re-doing her lamp too. We will also be painting a border around the room and stenciling in butterflies and dragonflies. One last project is going to be to get some plates that match and paint butterflies and dragonflies on them and they are going to be on her shelf and maybe her wall, too. The whole thing will be 100% different by the day her birthday party arrives. She will come back to the pool with a banner in the room saying "Happy Birthday" with all of the names of all of the people who have contriubted to this. There is so much work to be done still, but it is starting to be ready for the big day. I hate country decorating, but at least it leaves room for lots of imperfections which will be readily abundant when this is all said and done. Boy oh boy, is my hand sore, and I am not done painting yet!
