By patrick on Friday, October 10, 2003 - 01:22 pm:

this is getting out of hand.

its shameful, unAmerican (at least in stated principle, certainly not in precident) and criminal.

I don't even know how to wrestle with this.

What is going to happen to these people?

By wisper on Friday, October 10, 2003 - 07:01 pm:

    hideous, that.

""I remind you these are enemy combatants that are being detained at Guantanamo Bay," he said. "They are treated humanely."

enemy combatants just because we say they are, haha!

did i say hideous? because i meant evil.
    unquestionably evil.
and i don't use the word often.

hey, speaking of Cuba and the lunacy of our administration, id like to commend President Dipshit for really tackling the issues Americans care about most.

the only problem with Cuba and human rights is US criminal encampment of hundreds there.

By semillama on Friday, October 10, 2003 - 07:21 pm:

well, that's not the ONLY problem there, Patrick. You know that making statements like that is just asking for spunky to post a seventeen paragraph article proving otherwise.

thats fine. i'll refute every point with "who gives a fuck" "who gives a fuck"

Castro and Cuba is such a non-issue.

Its worth repeating....who gives a fuck?

Bush clearly stands in the minority amongst Americans when it comes to dealing with Cuba is obviously pandering to the ever powerful Florida/Cuban ex-pat contingent.

"Bush said a year and a half ago he would be willing to ease U.S. sanctions on the communist-run country if it took steps toward democracy such as offering "free and fair elections" and adopting free-market economic changes"

capitalism and U.S. style democracy are the one true god!

(what makes him think they care about the sanctions? Other countries cannot function without the State's money? They made it this far after america tried to starve them into submission.....)

oh damn, every mention of Cuba vs the USA turns me into my dad. He and my mom went to Cuba shortly after the "falling out" (within the year it happened) and he's exceptionally passionate about the terrible things they saw.

    I'll shut up now.
