Through a series of random events, I had an initial phone interview with Amazon.com today. If I get a second interview, I'm going to be frankly astounded. I'm pretty sure I came across as a drooling idiot.

What exactly would you be doing for Amazon, other than vying with Google for world supremacy?

    (good luck, by the way)

    hm?

    is there a story?

and of course, may our luck be fantasmo!

(it's silly that google and amazon are vying for world supremacy. they should leave that job to me.)

in my opinion, if amazon will hire
    this guy
    , they'll hire anybody.

The job is a testing position in which I'd be testing their Merchant Risk Management stuff and writing testing tools and utilities.

Bit of a step backward in terms of position, but a giant leap forward in terms of employer. And money. Lots more of that.

I put my resume on dice.com and was contacted the next day by a staffing company. Then someone from Amazon called to schedule a phone interview. It was all a big shock to me.

I'm going with the assumption that they not only won't hire me, but they hate me personally. That way anything else will be a pleasant surprise.
