My god, I was genuinely flabbergasted, flummoxed and astounded. And he's so personable. And so cute. |
I don't have a television. Please help the media-challenged. Oh, yeah, and good title. |

apparently she knows someone who knows someone who was in his first special where he actually levitated (yes, levitated) in front of a group of people in the village. i've talked to people who have seen him around the city and tell me they've witnesseed him commit all sorts of reality-defying madness. watching his shows kinda spooks me out. i sincerely hope it's all slight of hand and television trickery, cuz no one on this earth should be able to do any of that shit. anyway. i dunno what the hell is going on with that man, but whatever it is it aint right. |
and come across the station that seems to have nothing but people frowning and closing their eyes on camera? Lord's mercy, doesn't the bible tell you to pray in secret?! Fundamentalists, indeed. Though it may be in secret, because it's not like anyone watches that station anyway. |
tricks are classified secrets. Where can I see this Mr. Blaine, anyhow? That aside, anyone (like the before-mentioned Robert Tilton) who charges his congregation for prayers, indulgences, or miracles is committing a sin known as simony, and therefore is in leagues with the old guy below, rather than the old guy above. Jesus, one may recall, always worked his magic for free. |
david blaine does. or at least it looks like he does on television. (i've never seen him live in action). anyway, it's all illusion. i just have no idea how he pulls it off. you can find david blaine at your friendly neighborhood search engine. try google. |
(I must have manic street preachers on the brain...) I've seen him too. Not the levitation but his card/parlor tricks. Swine, there's a link that kind of explains (kind of) the levitation, but for some reason it doesn't work when I post it, but if you haven't already seen it, type in: frontpage.hughes.net/scottp/magic/Essays/david_bla ine_.htm |

I love that guy That guy scares the fuck out of me I saw his tv special where he levitated, twice. It was spooky as fuck. The first time was in front of these two women. One of them started to cry. The next time was infront of some tattoo/peircing place. He showed one of his super incredible card tricks first, causing most of the artists to run screaming down the street. Someone at the campfire mentioned he knew someone who could levitate as well, and tried to explain how it was done. Fuck. Bastard. I believed. For once I really believed. Too much Zen reading, I guess. there is no Tooth Fairy. |
