My favorite is Get Fuzzy. That poor sweet dumb dog kills me. I like the way that the animals are drawn pretty realistically, but they are completely anthropomorphized and can talk to anybody, not just their owner. |
But speaking of funny, I managed to catch Richard Prior Live...recorded in the late 70s in Long Beach, and that is funny. |
My all-time favorite newspaper strip was Bloom County. |
to bad he quit drawing them. |
Next to "Bloom County" was "The Far Side". Followed by the early years of "Doonesbury". Right now I rarely read the papers. So I rarely get to see the comics. But, my current favorite is Dilbert. It's a pretty accurate characterization of the modern office world. |

(PS. Tell me this isn't cute. I mean, come on!) |
|
I bought myself two early birthday presents last night -- two Get Fuzzy collections ("Groovitude" and "The Get Fuzzy Experience"). |
i also like for better or for worse and foxtrot. i read all of the comics in the boston globe, even the terrible ones, and the horoscopes which are on the same page. |

Garfield sucks. Peanuts I never found funny, but sad. That made it unique, so I appreciated it in a way. Calvin and Hobbes and the Far Side were the best. |
