    Anyways,

I know I should just do a google search on cheap and domain registration, but does anyone know of the cheapest way to set up a domian name??

    Cheers.

I saw a t.v. ad for some new ISP that claimed they'll set up yr domain name for free. (But I'm stateside/so I doubt that ad runs in Britland). Last I heard/it costs $100 upfront to register a domain name for 2 years. There's a site that has a domain search engine/so you can make sure the name you want isn't already taken. But I forget the name of it.

Try e-mailing Agatha or Swine. They both have (now defunct) websites.

Network Solutions runs the InterNIC's monopoly on domain registration (for now). Anyone else who does it for you, be them ISP, scammer, or whatnot, gets it from NSI in the end. Go to www.networksolutions.com or www.internic.net. Sorry, I'm too lazy to make the links.
