What's your email address, Gee? I want to talk to you.

On a related note: Canada. I know next to nothing about it. No history, no current events, except that I know most Canadians like their health care system. Not very useful information.

So. Anyone ever read any good books on Canadian history that you care to recommend?

what time frame are you looking for?

how about "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Canadian History" by Ann Douglas. not that I think you're an idiot.

Any time frame. From fur-trade days (for which my primary source of information was that Kids in the Hall fur-trader sketch where they steal businessmen's suits....I told you I need help!) onward.

Did you have any really good prime ministers? Heroes of Canada? Guys everyone hated?

I'll look for that Ann Douglas book. It sounds like what I need.

    _Louis Riel_ by Chester Brown.

It's a comic book, serializing a piece of early Canadian history, when the French and English were still vying for control. I think it's up to issue four or five. Chester has notes at the end of each issue and refers to primary source material.
