unless napster changes its business model and cuts a deal with the RIAA, all Big 5 artists will eventually end up on that "ban list". my boss dropped the RIAA account in my lap last month. so while i've got SQL generating lists of big five copyrighted material, i'm downloading mp3s and burning discs in the back like it's the end of the fucking world. i feel like some kind of 21st century judas with over 5 gigs of "contraband" on the hard drive and a stack of burned cds up to my waist. it's an ugly situation and i'd rather not have anything to do with it at all.

Well, I feel really stupid for not getting into napster before I did. I think it's great stuff. But there is only one thing that ticks me off. That's incomplete versions of songs that are available for upload. Last week, I downloaded the Eagles's Desparado. The song cut off at, "You better let somebody love you before it's too la--" That sucked.

I am also banned from napster, over some Orbison thing which is long gone from my hard drive, but they still won't let me in. So, I showed them. I found third parties that connect me to napster and a host of other servers, and even resume broken downloads, so there. No guilt about it, sorry, purists

I haven't installed the updated version cause I'm afraid that it will help them kick me off again,if it ain't broke it don't need fixing.
