lol last year, when still at my office job, i found an old copy of Dianetics (clearly worn and loved) in the lunchroom bookshelf. I grabbed it with the intention of throwing it out, but since i'm somewhat of a religion nut, i kept it, and read it now and then. It *is* crazy, with a whole section about how "fetal traumas" affect you your entire life. Which sound moderatly okay, until you read his little list of what a 'trauma' is, including a big page about all the various ways that women used to give themselves abortions (Lysol douche??? i had no idea.) This copy was published in the 70's. But anyway, it left me constantly looking around... who's was it?
