Question about Oz (HBO series)

Over the weekend I watched the entire second season of Oz -- I LOVE it. Did any of you watch it? I know Gee did....where oh where is Gee?

The greatest thing about it, IMO, is that every character is lovable in their own way. Beecher has my heart *sigh* and I nearly experience physical pain whenever he gets hurt...but I totally love Schillinger, too. How can that be? Poor, poor Cyril O'Reilly...how could I laugh when Schillinger took him by the hand and led him into the closet? That's just wrong.

However, WTF is wrong with Dr. Nathan? How can she continue to work at Oz after Ryan and Cyril kill her husband? Why is that even allowed? It seems like the very definition of conflict of interest. I understand why she's still there in terms of storytelling -- I guess the writers wanted to keep up the tension between her and Ryan -- but it's completely implausible. If the tension was so important, they should have put off her husband's murder for a few episodes. Is it ever explained why she stays? (And if you say it's because she's secretly in love with him, like I'm afraid it is, I will stop watching. That's totally fucking ridiculous.)

Oz? I'm starting to suspect this isn't about the land over the rainbow. What's it about?

    Gee! Did you watch OZ?

(My luck, even now Gee won't see this thread. L)

I hope you stopped watching it, because the last season just went all to Hell. and I mean that literally. the Devil came to Oz.

God help me, but Ryan O'Reilly is one sexy bitch. I know he's all evil and murdering of the husband, but holy yum, he's nice to look at. For awhile, the actor was on Law & Order: SVU, and I was all happy because I got to see him AND Munch, but then he lost his stomach and moved on. loser!

for a little while, I wanted to name my bunny Beecher, because he was such a great character, but in the end the bunny was named Bunny.

I love the two old guys. what were their names? they kept trying to escape. they were precious. but I still Loves me some Ryan O'Reilly.
