I'm 15 almost 16 and I'm a sophomore. I've gone through life with very few friends. I try to be open to everyone's thoughts and ideas but it doesnt seem like I have much luck. I've got about 2 fairly good friends that i got just recently that I can trust but wish I had a few more people to talk to.I really dont think I have depression but I want to know if there are any suggestions on how to possibly make more friends. I'm not like the lowest kid on the chain and I try to get involved but it never seems to work. I also realize that high school is gonna be over soon and most of my current friends I will never see for a long time if I ever do. but for the time being I still would like a few more friends to be there for me. thanks...any help is appreciated.

Why do you want more friends? What's wrong with your two good, trustworthy friends? Quality is a lot more important than quantity. I've been happier when I've had just one or two good, close friends than when I've had a whole bunch that weren't so close.

But of course, there's nothing wrong with meeting new people. Do either of your friends have other friends? Meeting people through friends is one of the easiest ways. Look around -- do you see other people who, like you, seem a bit lonely? Strike up a conversation. Invite him or her to do something with your little trio. Tell them to bring a friend.

I have five really good friends, and maybe four good enough friends. and that's it.

    you people don't count.

    Take up role-playing games.

    You'll make tons of friends.

Granted, they will be of the "Lightning Bolt! Lightning Bolt!" variety, but still, many are good people.

RPGs are a great way to get mercy fucks from girls as well.
    Trust me.

I went to a LAN party on Saturday. we all played HALO 2. Playing HALO 2 is a lot more fun than standing off on the sidelines watching other people play HALO 2.

it smelled like nerd sweat, though.
