Nate wtf did you do to get banned from Vegas or is this an personal banning? I will be flying to LA first for touristy shit while Mr Grumpy will be skiing Canada and wherever he decides to go in the states before meeting up in vegas. |
it might be time to lift the ban. |
|
you should go in march, the weather will be beautiful there. i think drive thru would be cool if you got a huge limo and everyone you wanted to be there could fit inside :) |
Unfortunately, I have no recommendations for a Vegas wedding. My parents got married at my mother's family church, St. Viator's, where the ushers at their wedding were mafia men, and the priests routinely ended their sermons with, "We accept donations in casino chips." As a niece of Las Vegas' Director of Business Services, however, I can tell you this: if you apply for a wedding license in Las Vegas (I don't know if you can or would, not being a US citizen, but...for what it's worth), and you encounter people waiting for you outside the license hall trying to strong-arm you into getting married at their chapels, they're breaking the law and you can report them. |
You have to get a Pirate Wedding at Treasure Island!!! "The Enchantment package features a wedding on board Treasure Island's pirate ship. Guests are seated along an outdoor patio overlooking Sirens' Cove. The groom, best man and ship's captain board a pirate ship and wait for the bride's entrance along a rose-covered walkway. For the right amount of gold, rogue pirates will serve as witnesses and a pirate may even swing down from the crow's nest to deliver the wedding rings." |

congratulations. i am certain i will be no where near vegas to come supervise nate....sadly. |
I've never actually been to Las Vegas, so I guess seeing it for the first time with a bunch of kiwis would be entertaining. |

I think I will have to sit down with Q&T (our friends that are coming with me while Andrew and Ged are off skiing) to work out where they want to go and then come up with some sort of plan so we know how much money we need to save. I know Andrew was quite keen to go and visit our crazy friend Al who moved to Hawaii a few years ago. |
|
and OMG Cookies and Cream kit-kats! |
|
|
so moonie, any wedding plan updates? |

Mum wants to visit Star Trek world. I do not. It looks like March 2010 is happening. Although if the NZ dollar goes under 50cUS again I may cry. Am thinking about Valley of Fire; or a indoor venue. can't decide between on strip; off strip or an apartment either. So much to think about! Was watching CSI the other week and Andrew yelled something about the MGM because it was in a shot. think he is secretly more excited than he pretends to be. |
