    what the hell is up with all this "hope" shit? everything bush does seems to be in the direction of a more "hopeful" society.

    how does that have anything to do with a "hopeful" society? i mean, i can see from his point of view how that might be part of a "decent" society. but hopeful?

    is someone going to tell me i sound both pessimistic and unpatriotic?

    Actually, I am not going to disagree. I don't see how hopeful fits into the gay marriage aspect even if you follow the line about it being decent.

    Pessimism has been my friend lately when it comes to politics. Hope? Hope for a change in 4 years, and not to Hillary, but for some candidates that I can stand with/behind without immediate regrets.
