By Travis on Sunday, October 10, 1999 - 02:58 pm:

I'm sitting at a cheaply-made plywood desk bought at some warehouse, in an almost-broken highback chair. The computer is in the kitchen. The floor of this kitchen is dark brown faux tile, you know, the kind you roll on in big sheets. God, this place is cluttered. There's papers on top of the monitor, papers on the printer tray, papers to my right, disks scattered on the floor, a box of blank CD-s on the floor to my left, and various papers scattered behind, in front of, and in the general vicinity of the desk. To my right are two windows. If it were not for these windows, there would be many days which I wouldn't even know if the sun was shining, if it was raining, if all of humanity suddenly disappeared... nor would I care. The scene outside right now is a fairly somber one... it's been raining all day, and even though it's 2:40 PM, it still seems like morning to me.. the sky is a pale whitish color, the grass needs to be cut, and sparkling drops of water hang from every plant and piece of lawn furniture I can see. In this town where nobody knows me, I find my only solace in music, and through the internet, where I can converse with people who have an IQ larger than their inseam... I hate it here.

If I ever had the "honor" of sitting next to Gweneth Paltrow, I could only hope to pass some gas.

By Lucy Phurre on Monday, October 11, 1999 - 03:35 pm:

    Gweneth Paltrow eats?

By Gee on Monday, October 11, 1999 - 03:49 pm:

Gweneth isn't so bad. I was very impressed by the job she did when she hosted SNL.

By J on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 - 11:20 am:

I,m sorry Gee,but ever since I read about her lamenting that they didn,t make her favorite Birkenstocks and then some man that had a shoe store offered to sell them to her(he had some still in stock) at cost and she sniffed that "she didn,t buy things, peple gave her things" After I read that,I knew she was an asshole, and I can,t help but wish that someone would give her a social disease.

By Agatha on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 - 11:57 am:

i heard she was very nice, a former acquaintance of mine went out with her for a couple of years. she probably dumped him because he wasn't famous enough yet.

i think some of those memories sound nice. the one about the funeral for the dad of her two children made me sad.

By Agatha on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 - 11:58 am:

i would like to know why travis is still in georgia. why don't you get the fuck out of there? sounds like a living hell.
