Not everybody does it because not everybody can. And it's not through lack of trying. I've been asking girls out for years in every different manner, I've asked out every kind, size and shape of girl (even those that complain constantly about being alone can't bring themselves to give me a shot). I've been falling in love, making them laugh or pouring my heart out to them and gotten not the slightest shred of compassion in return. I've been on every dating website in the free world and gotten zero responses. Some people just don't have it. I'm the "friend-type" not the "Dating-type" or "boyfriend-type" as girls call it. Going for just a simple drink or a movie or just hanging out is to much to ask. I've long lost the will to care. What is frustrating however, is everyone else - particularly my female friends (all of which are married or have boyfriends) - seem incapable of understanding this. They are so indoctrinated with this romanticized notion that "every jar has a lid" and "love is everywhere" and "everybody finds somebody". They think because there will always be a guy that wants to go out with them that it works both ways. I'm here to say it doesn't. That's what hookers are for. |
