and revolving doors |

I saw more horses than revolving doors, but I actually used a revolving door and did not use any horses. That I am aware of. I'm frightened of the people at truckstops, yet am strangely attracted to the places. |

I've had my current horse, Dandy, seven years. The first year we spent sorting out whether bolting, rearing, and stuff like that was OK or not. We got that worked out, and we've had a big time since! The main activities we do together are these events where he gets to run fast and jump over stuff. He gets a huge rush out of it!. It's the sort of thing where we really need to trust each other. Over the years, we've built that trust. It's nothing but cool. I'm absolutely no cowboy, but I understand the bond between a person and their steed. In fact, I'm thankful for it. |
I also have a six inch scar on my leg from where one of those "metal feet" (otherwise known as a corrective shoe, in this instance) slammed me. Horses rock. Revolving doors, especially in airports when I have a full pack on, suck. |

Eventing is neat! Actually, I'm a field hunter. We have a MFHA hunt here. When we get on a big run it is such an adrenaline rush! Dandy and I both have a blast, and it is so cool when you can share that sort of thing with your steed! I'm afraid I'm personally not a fan of the actual hunting end of the hunt. Thank god, neither are the hounds!!!
I have friends who event and love it for the same 'excitement with your steed' reasons. I'd have to take dressage lessons, but that would probably be good anyway.
Tell me about eventing!! What is RamTap?
