    I had a fit of nostalgia sometime today or maybe yesterday. I thought about when I first found out about the Internet which was in late 1994-early 1995. Before animated GIFs. I used a version of Netscape which had a blue pulsating "N" in the upper right-hand corner: none of these celestial phenomena.
    I know the web had been around long before then, but I'm the General Public. I have been looking for the oldest copy of Netscape I can find.

    someone i know moved to kentucky and got an account with an isp there, and they gave him a software package, and it included trumpet winsock and netscape .96 ... this was last month.
