1. Fr. Pierre-Jean de Smet, b. 1/30/1801 in Termonde (now in Belgium), d. 5/23/1873 in St. Louis, was a Jesuit missionary to the Indians in the American West. 2. The Lone Ranger first aired on radio station WXYZ in Detroit, Mich. on 1/30/1933. This continuing radio and tv drama was about a man on horseback. 3. "The Card Sharper with the Ace of Diamonds" was painted by Georges De La Tour, b. 3/19/1593 in Vic-sur-Sevilly, France, d. 1/30/1652 at Luneville. 4. The ITT corporation was founded by Sosthenes Behn ( b. 1/30/1892 in St. Thomas, V.I., D. 6/6/1957 in New York City) along with his brother Hernand. Today the corporation has nothing to do with making telephones or telegraphs but owns a famous gambling casino in Las Vegas (o.k. it's not the Aladdin, but whaddaya want...) 5. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, b. in Hyde Park, N.Y., 1/30/1882, d. 4/12/1945 at Warm Springs, Ga. FDR Drive in New York City is named after him. 6. It's a joke get it? |

well, maybe there's something to this numerology/astrology mumbo after all... Shoulda left ITT out. Not a good connection. The corporation probably had its own birthday that was way off... Anyway, got some use out of the trial subscription to the Brittanica. |
