as always, i spent half an hour right-clicking and adding subject and author to the "bozo bin" and about three minutes reading anything anyone had to say. guess i shouldn't malign those precious 3 minutes, rare as they are. i actually spent money on a usenet newsreader a few months ago, still for some reason believing what i heard years ago about how usenet was da place. (well, i spent the company's money, though i did shell out $20 for the upgrade.) now i can only laugh outloud at an article i read the other day which casually (and appropriately, i think) referred to usenetians as "geeks, dorks, nerds, and losers who..." what's my problem, anyway... why do i care. i don't, even, except that, after the 20 minutes spent right-clicking and bozo-binning my newsreader of assholes and spam i found the "alt.dumpster" newsgroup to be strangely rewarding. oh yeth. that is all i meant to say tonight. |
