sorabji.com: Obscure Classical Composers: Publisher of Lourie

Can anyone tell me who publishes music by Lourie? I am specifically looking for a piece for clarinet called "Mime" . It is a solo piece and dedicated to Charles Chaplin.

Try Salabert. I think Schirmer still distributes them.

Chaplin himself was not a bad composer.

    Many Thanks for the information!

Never heard any pieces by Chaplin- were they popular or "serious"?

Anything by him for clarinet? It would be great to link it in programming.

Was Chaplin actually any kind of composer at all? It is my understanding that he whistled his tunes and other people notated them (Oscar Levant memoir, don't remember which one).
