    K-OS not Chaos.

It is on the EMI label or so I am told.

By Allaboutkheaven on Thursday, September 23, 2004 - 11:20 am:

    Birth Name: Kheaven Brereton

    Genre: Hip-Hop

Raised by Jehovah's Witness parents in locales as disparate as Toronto and Trinidad, it was no surprise that Kheaven Brereton, aka K-Os (pronounced: chaos) was a bit different than your average MC. A singer as well as a rhymer, and a producer to boot, K-Os proved on his debut album Exit (Astralwerks, 2002) that being preachy didn't have to mean being boring. The LP stood out dramatically with lush, instrument-driven arrangements to go with the traditional hip-hop elements of drum programming, samples, and the like. Acoustic guitar and piano marked the single "Heaven Only Knows"; dub and reggae influences tinged "Freeze." Many of the tracks found the rapper singing, so much so that an argument could be raised about the genre to which K-Os in fact belonged. And that was just the way he liked it. A tour to support Exit stretched from late 2002 through summer 2003; the dates saw K-Os performing with such hip-hop luminaries as India.Arie and Floetry. Exit went on to pick up International Album of the Year at the 2003 Source Awards. K-Os returned in September '04 with the equally ambitious . ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide

    To any other lyric sites...

In the lyrics for crabuckit. The street's name is Yonge st, not Young st. I know because I live in Toronto, he's from the greater Toronto area. And the street in Toronto he is talking about is Yonge St. One of the favourite streets to cruise down on a Friday.

I got a wierd one here,

The Crabuckit song reminds me of the musical style of a recent animated movie.

I am trying to track down the movie, but no luck.

The title is french, somethign like

    "Triple belliveau"

The movie is NOT a disney movie.

    Any ideas?

By Kian on Saturday, November 27, 2004 - 05:05 pm:

Oh - and it was featured in the Toronto Film Festival - but I can't find it on thier website - it won an award.

    Wow you guys love Crabucket

By HAHAHA on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 - 11:39 pm:

    [verse one ]
    It's high now
    So low it's high
Like this, check it out yo

Took a trip on a bus that didn't know
Met a girl sellin' drinks at the disco
Said truth comes back when you let it go
Seems complicated cause it's really so simple
Walkin' down Yonge Street on a Friday
Can't follow them, gotta do it my way
No fast lane, still on a highway
Movin' in and out, no doubt there's a brighter day

    Chorus [ repeat 2x ]

No time to get down cause I'm moving up
No time to get down cause I'm moving up
No time to get down cause I'm moving up
Ahh, haa... Check out the crabs in the bucket

    [ verse two ]
It's like this, It's like this..
It's like fly in a room, scream, writing on walls
Swear this clone been havin' a ball
Claimin' themselves just before last call
    Tic-a-tic-a-toc tic-a-tic-a-toc
Clock strikes twelve, clock strikes one
Smoking gun put these fools on the run
I know it's not that simple, I know it's not that hard
    where's your goal

    Chorus [ repeat 2x ]

No time to get down cause I'm moving up
No time to get down cause I'm moving up
No time to get down cause I'm moving up
Ahh, haa... Check out the crabs in the bucket

    [ verse three ]
    Yeah na I mean
Yeah, I heard you man, yo, check, yo, yo

It's a conniption, fit when the microphones lit
I take it higher like a bird on a wire, retire the fire
I'll never cause I'm just moving on up
Choosin' to touch, the unseen, craving the clutch
    The most inevitable, legible pyro-mania
Slaying the devil, and send him back to Transylvania
Strangely enough, I avoid that side of the ghetto
From my heavy metal, will settle the puppets like Jepeto
Damm, if mirrors where created by sand
Then I'm looking in the water for reflections of man
Understand the minds above time when it's empty
Emcee, tragically hip, ahead by a century, rrahh

    Chorus [ repeat 2x ]

No time to get down cause I'm moving up
No time to get down cause I'm moving up
No time to get down cause I'm moving up
Ahh, haa... Check out the crabs in the bucket
