Can we have a bit of your heatwave please? Im sick of pissy rain....

By Starchy on Friday, July 31, 1998 - 04:00 pm:
I don't know about the rest of the Eastern seaboard, but I'm sure up for the trade.

Or, better yet - why don't we trade locations?

Newcastle Brown Ale is my favorite beer. I also support Newcastle United, but I have to admit I'm pretty hot on Michael Owen in Liverpool. For that matter, David Beckham is a very handsome lad too, even if he is a bit petulant. Why he goes out with a spice girl is beyond my comprehension.

As for the trade, well, the west coast is sunny and warm as usual. I went to Newcastle in January and it was cold, gray and dank. I still liked it though. Seriously. The heat here gets old, but I do enjoy the sun. I'm not sure how we can send it your way. Maybe if we all go outside and blow in your direction our good weather will head your way.

I'm down near Atlanta Georgia, Rain made it cool today as its been in a LONG TIME. Dropped from 90something to low 70's in about an hour. I had to put on TWO shirts to keep from gettin chills ;-)
    Cool didn't last though.
I'm outside in the cool night air, in a mesh tank top and shorts, and the ONLY reason I'm wearing that much is the BUGS... after the rain the mosquito's n such really come out.
Rain is ok though, my bud is goin on vacation next week and I WANT it to rain like HELL so her week will be lovely.
Sweating in the south - come on down honey, you're welcome anytime to the heat wave and some hospitality.
    :)

DC had absolutely gorgeous weather this weekend....after weeks of muggy, hot steamy days we finally got two wonderful days - and on a weekend too!

Saw Riverdance last night at Wolftrap, which is an outdoor amphitheater (did I spell that right?) that is run by the Parks Department....and while it may not be all that cool, uhm....excuse me, I meant to say "kewl", to admit it, I LOVED it! Guess it speaks to my Irish heritage. Hehehe....well, except for the asshole sitting on my left who apparently had too much to drink and was trying to dance like Pat Roddy (the dancer in the Michael Flatley role....)

By Liam on Monday, August 3, 1998 - 02:04 pm:
I saw Riverdance a few months ago and loved it as well. My Irish heritage must have had something to do with it because normally I would never spend $70 a ticket to see step dancing. When I went Colin Dunne was still dancing the lead role but Pat Roddy was getting ready to take over. He did some of the other dances so we got to see him. He seemed quite talented and is very handsome.

That's what I thought too....my god those leather pants! heh heh

And actually I preferred Pat over Michael....Michael Flatley may be talented but he's also quite conceited and arrogant (or appears that way in which case he needs a better PR agent).

We paid $70 as well but I think it was money well spent, even though I had already seen the show on PBS.

So PetRock, tell us more about your interest in leather pants. :)

By -oDDBALL oDD- on Thursday, August 13, 1998 - 11:12 pm:
Fuck the bogus Irish dance. It is based more on Bulgarian themes than Irish themes.

I have Irish blood. It kills me to see that poncy twat with his nose in the air trouncing the REAL IRISH CULTURE.

    Fuck him.
