I got back from vacation on Saturday with a mesage from a former coworker. He's working on a project out there and wanted me onboard. The problem is I can't stand this guy. But, he just kept sweetening the deal: Paid expenses, almost double my hourly rate, and new problems to solve... The best part is that there's another former coworker on the project who is a genius, a giant in his field, and a real pleasure to work with. He wants me there too, apparently. So I'm off to Alabama, completely scuttling my plans for the next 6 months. Shit, I didn't want a social life anyway. Anybody know anybody in Birmingham? |
