Usually somewhere in Central KY, in the area ranging from Georgetown to Danville to Campton to Corbin.

Ever been to the Big Singing at Benton?

By Jeffrey Scott Holland on Sunday, March 8, 1998 - 08:15 am:
No, that's much too far away. I hardly ever leave the right-hand side of KY anymore. But I've been to the Stringbean Festival in Annville.

I know a Geoff in Lexington. What a cool guy. Last I heard he was in a band called Rabby Feeber. I miss him. Come back to Seattle, Geoff.

George Clooney was originally from Kentucky. Are all Kentuckian men that fine/or was it just a Clooney thing?

By Jeffrey Scott Holland on Sunday, March 8, 1998 - 05:02 pm:
Dave : I see Rabby Feeber all the time! I don't know Geoff but I know the frontman, Lawrence Tarpey.

R.C. : why yes, all Kentuckian men *are* that fine! Even finer! ;)

2 or 3 years back, Geoff sent me a copy of Justrustus wherein he played bass. I don't know if he still does or not. I think he may also be a teacher. I wonder if he has e-mail. . .

And does EVERYONE in KY play in a band? Everyone from KY that posts here seems to. What -- do they hand you an instrument when you go in to transfer yr driver's license? Or do the public schools there just have really great music programs? Wonder if George Clooney ever played in a band...

By Jeffrey Scott Holland on Monday, March 9, 1998 - 12:08 pm:
There ARE an awful lot of bands around here, I guess, compared to some other places. There are too many bands in Lexington, especially considering that there are currently no real venues for them to play. All the clubs now are specialty clubs, or small places that won't book full bands....there's no place for a just plain rock or alternative band to play. The Appalachian Voodoo Ensemble prefers surprise art-terrorism performances on the streets anyway.

Hey Durious.... do you feel that the Big Singing Day in Ky it deemed authentic or inauthentic...

    I live in Frankfort, Kentucky.
    it really blows.
I was born and raised here plus I go to college here.
I go to a predominantly black college, I am white.
And, big suprise, noone likes me.
It's wierd because I like rock music and everyone heres likes lotsa bass and rap.
