    I recently read "The Stand" and hated it. Hated hated hated.

    Characters were unrealistic, plot was melodramatic and predictable, and it was far too long.

    I would throw it away, but that's wasteful. I would give it to the library, but I don't want anyone else to waste their time. I think the only thing I can do is burn it in the fireplace; the heat calories it produces to warm me will be the only value I get from my purchase of this book.

    that's quite a long book to put up with if you hated it. How far in did you know you didn't like it? Were you tempted to stop reading it or did you make yourself finish just to see if it got any better?

    "The Stand" was in fact an amazing book,if you found it a bore,you have no intellect at all.Stephan King is a world class writer.Shakrat,stick to kids comics,its what your good at.
