    great series of vampire books. real original concepts as to the origin of vampires. and lots of good old guts and gore

    RC- The author is Brian Lumley. His vamps are totally different from any other author that ive ever read especially anne rice. the only problem is the whole series is about six or seven books long, but its written so that you dont have to read all of them to get a whole story.
