Don't know why it took me so long to read this one, especially cuz I liked Snow Crash so much. Maybe I'm strange but I think I'm one of the few people who read his books for something other than the cyberpunk atmosphere. Actually, what I like most are his characters. He's got a real knack at writing credible people.

I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good sci-fi junk food novel. It's not the rollercoaster ride Snow Crash was, but it was still pretty good.

that book rocked. i thought it was amazingly entertaining. i just finished "idoru", another good sci fi junk food novel, as you put it.

Idoru was extremely fun. Made me want to be a courier. I'm such a huge Gibson fan. I know he's kind of cliche' nowadays, but I bought a first edition Neuromancer a long, long time ago and he's had me hooked ever since.

Ever read snow crash? If you like the Illustrated Primer, you'd probably like it. It's not as...um... intellectual (?), but it's along the same vein.

The only thing that I didn't like about the Illustrated Primer was the large time gaps the books goes through.
