    I've yet to read this but have wanted to many times. I especially would like to now, seeing as how they're putting out a movie based on the author's life. (With Bette Midler, Stockard Channing, Nathan Lane... wonderful and talented cast!) Can't wait to see it.

    There was an older version of the movie,I think it had Patty Duke in it,the book was great and my real maiden name was the same as one of the girls in it,the one your rooting for if you read the book.
