Good book. Very much in the vein of the book it iis companion to, Ender's Game, and well worth a read even if you haven't read the other. Although I really recommend reading EG first, so as not to spoil certain surprises in its plot. I thought that it was much faster paced than EG, but it was a great alternate perspective on the events of that book, with a much happier ending. Actually the last book I read was "A Scanner Darkly" by P. K. Dick. Makes me damn glad I never did anything harder than acid. I didn;t like it as much as others of his books, but it was still good. I am reading "Valis" now. I have read his very last book, which sort of parallels this one, so it's all familiar. That guy was seriously screwed, but damn, what if he was RIGHT? We're all fucked then. |
