    Cause someone wnated to know.

Good book. Very much in the vein of the book it iis companion to, Ender's Game, and well worth a read even if you haven't read the other. Although I really recommend reading EG first, so as not to spoil certain surprises in its plot. I thought that it was much faster paced than EG, but it was a great alternate perspective on the events of that book, with a much happier ending.

Actually the last book I read was "A Scanner Darkly" by P. K. Dick. Makes me damn glad I never did anything harder than acid. I didn;t like it as much as others of his books, but it was still good. I am reading "Valis" now. I have read his very last book, which sort of parallels this one, so it's all familiar. That guy was seriously screwed, but damn, what if he was RIGHT?

    We're all fucked then.

Phil Dick was one flipped mofo. I've read a bunch of his stuff. I think I can blame a lot of my crackheadedness on him.

    i read the ender's series..

i did not find them particularly compelling. it seems that everyone has some strong opinion about these books. most of my friends loved it. i am not sure what quality they found so attractive. what did you think?

I liked them... Just well written I guess. The plot wasn't that compelling, its just the way it was written, some of the symbolsm used...

    Good books.

I think the plots were alright, very original and I too dug the symbolism. The new series has more of a religious bent to it.

Also, everyone is so damn sarcastic.

I suppose your right... I did enjoy Ender's Game more than the other books. It had some sort of suspense level that just made you want to know Ender.
