"Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter faction, the vegans, are a persistent irritant to any chef worth a damn. To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living. Vegetarians are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit, and affront to all I stand for, the pure enjoyment of food."

yaaaa, the meat vs. potato battle begins anew!!

what I'd like to know is, why is it bad to kill animals, but ok to kill plants for food?

Also, if its ok to kill plants for food, why is it bad to kill plants for other benifical things i.e. homes (trees [forests]), medicine (plants, trees, and god knows what else [rain forests come to mind])

    thats all,

oh, and happy Valentines day all

It's neither "all good" or all"bad" rather shades of cost vs. benefit that most humans can't handle thinking about, so they adopt extremist positions. I think that about sums it up for ANYTHING humans get theirs panites in a bunch about.

in other news - Found an interesting critique of that "junkscience: guy: http://www.prwatch.org/prwissues/2000Q3/junkman.html
