This reading which is the most positive look at the events forthcoming in 2012 follows my reading of other more somber, end of the world readings. Points out that if the "world" (any particular world= worldview)is a fractal of our imagination and paradigm and experience, and is therefore both personal and collective, but idiosyncratic at best...then the end of "A" World does not necessarily mean bad things to happen, just change to happen. Pinchbeck's thesis seems to point toward a monumental slow and then accelerating change in consciousness rather the catastrophe calamity in the environment...which he seems to say we humans have consciously brought about in order to move to another dimension or vibration, that Hopi, Incan, and fundamentalist's views of "end times" really is just an interpretation of a change inevitable to occur. Was a breath of fresh air on a too somber subject that the fundamentalists seems to clamor armaggeddon and rapture. Really a fresh look, at PEACE, and needed a few days before this election. Also simultaneously reading Thich Nhat Hanh's new "The world we have" which should be different thread...reminding us to be alive, and combine environmentalism with spiritual practice.
