    WOW. Costello and the Beastie Boys, "Radio Radio"

    on the SNL show last night.


    Cool. And he had the same guitar as he did the first time. I just saw that occurrence for the first time this weekend. Impressive.

    Well, of course I remember it. I only saw it for the FIRST TIME. On Vh-1's SNL music special. Still impressed the hell out of me. 99% of musicians don't have the sheer talent and songwriting power of Elvis Costello. I don't even listen to him that much but I know genius when I hear it.

    Did anyone notice that the general quality of the music deteriorated through the SNL 25 years. Not that I don't like Beck, Garbage, et al - they just don't have the same sense of permanence.
    May be I'm an old fart. 35 is pretty old - lol

    Then Elvis gets up there. Radio, Radio!

    English Rose by The Jam circulates today in my mind and that's just fine with me.
