The faithful were gathered together for the first time in twelve years. It was a homecoming with the weirdest mix of strangers you could throw together. He played heavily from Mule Variations but hit a lot of the older stuff as well. He had a band backing him most of the time, but the best parts were when it was just him on piano, chatting with the crowd between songs. One of my buddies snuck in a DAT recorder and put together a double CD bootleg of the concert. Not the greatest sound quality, but it's good to have. |

Tell ya what, Swine: After you get yr bootleg copy of the Waits shows & tweak it a little to improve the sound (since you've got a whole living room worth of equipment)/will you send me a copy of the upgrade? |
