    no i mean it. i get like this from time to time. i own all but three of tom's albums. i can go months without listening to them. then, something will click, and i'll obsess.

    i'm obsessing now.

    there's something about the way he growls. or doesn't growl, but it sound's like he could. you know? when you listen to a song and instead of just listening to the words, you listen to the breaths? you can hear the singer breath. it makes him/her more human.

    tom breathes a lot.

    i like it.

    actually, i think what just made this little obsessing come on was watching Down By Law the other night.

    You HAVE to watch this if you haven't yet. Oh my god. Yes.

    rhi- i've got heartattackandvine, rain dogs, closing time, blue valentine, black rider, small change, mule variations, heart of sat. night, swordfishtrombones, franks wild years, and beautiful maladies.

    i think all im missing bone machine, nighthawks at the diner, and foreign affair.

    closing time is my fav tho. and rain dogs.

    Ry Cooder, the coolest. Am I the only one who even knows who he is? Sad commentary if so. John Lee Hooker...... love that guitar. My recent favorite CD is The Laura Love Collection.
