the "hillbillies" thing was just something i picked out last night when i couldn't sleep. i found that if i used partial chords (root, fifth, root - 3rds'll fuck it up) i could follow the melody. listen(D)here's a story(Fsharp)'bout a man(E)named Jed(A) a poor(Dflat)mountaineer(E) barely kept (D) his family fed(A) then(D) one day(Gflat) he was shootin' (G) at some food(B) when up(A) from the ground(A) come a bubblin'(A) crude(D) i probably don't have all the chords in the right place up there, but play it and you can hear where everything fits. it's a fun thing to do like playing sabbath's "paranoid" in 3/4 time. |
