Okay first off, let me say that I have never been
a big "Boss" fan. He's like the smart John
    Mellencamp.
However, I must admit to liking a few of his
songs, but never enough to go by an album.
"Nebraska" is very good, what I've heard of it.
So because of all the hype, I borrowed a
    friends copy of "The Rising".
I really did like it. First off, it's a straight rock
and roll record, saving the genre from the likes
    of Aerosmith.
The songs all deal with loss and larger theme
of September 11th in a personal and touching
    way without being overtly preachy.
My favorite song on the album is "Paradise",
but "Nothing Man" is also good.
Funny that Brendan O' Brian (pearl jam
producer) would get Bruce to do a song called
    "Nothing Man".
Anyway, despite the hype, I really thought It
was a solid piece of work.
Not by any means a TOOL record or anything,
but it's about the best the mainstream can
    push out right now.
I just bought Ministry "Psalm 69", Corey
    Glover's "Hymn's, Creedence Greatest Hits;
and Sheryl Crow "Tuesday Night Music Club"
at the local shitty used record shop.
Anyone else hear the new Bruce record yet?
    What did you think?
I'm burning a copy of it.

Didn't even know he still did anything. I figured he had retired. I was never a really big fan, but it might be interesting. I am up for something different, so long as it doesn't bore me.

He hasen't recorded since the early 90s. I saw
an ad for his show in Columbus and the
retards said this album was his his first since
    "Born in the USA"
