the wind is upsetting the venetian blinds,making them lick up against the window pane. it is breezy in here. honking car horns penetrate my head. if i strain my ears i can, every few minutes, hear a subway train about a half-mile away. going east, going west. it could be a long sleepless night unless i get up and close the window.
