After reading this i went out and bought the CD.

Its a CD born out of a collaboration with playwright Bob Wilson on the poems of Poe. Spider this sounds like it would be right up your alley.

Im only on the second tune. Its a little strange and I hope i wasn't duped because the interview made it sounded inspiring.

The hot shit is that it features so many awesome people including Ornette Coleman and William Dafoe.

i also bought the new johnny cash "American IV; The man comes around" as I feel he might die soon and lali puna's "scary world theory" based directly on dave sharing of the mp3's.

"I am persuaded that nothing can seperate me from my love of God, my wife and my music. Life is rich when I can come home, afte rhours in teh studio, feeling as frayed as a hundred Big G strings, and curl up to June Carter. She's a soft, fluffy Mama Bear. Thats I give God a "Thanks a lot Chief". Sometimes in teh morning I'll say "Good Morning" to the Awesome Presence, but sometimes I forget.

    Johnny Cash (linear notes)

Danggit this Johnny Cash album is going to make me cry. It plays like a eulogy or a letter goodbye.

    Patrick:

That album is the very best of the entire American series produced by Rick Rubin. From open to close, it's fucking amazing and I'd have to agree with you about the eulogy/letter goodbye. "The Man Comes Around," "Personal Jesus," "Hurt," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and "Tear Stained Letter," just are incredible.

Have you heard either of June's last two albums, "Press On," or "Wildwood Flower?" On "Press On," they duet on "Far Side Banks of Jordan." Talk about floodgates opening up. And June does an autoharp version of Ring of Fire which boggles the mind it's so unique and musically important. Oh, and then there's her ode to Quentin Tarentino.

And I just bought American V: A Hundred Highways, and while there are some stellar standout tracks, "If You Could Read My Mind," among them, it pales in comparison to its awesome predacessor.

I got to this thread by searching for Lou Reed, so let me post what I intended to.

Has anyone heard the Little Willies? Specicially the last track on the album "Lou Reed?" FUN FUN FUN FUN song. Little Willies is a little cover band fronted by Norah Jones and a buncha her buds.
