today was my day to do inventory at the shop. i always bring my ipad and play something on pandora, usually jazz. for the hell of it, i typed in "tom waits". i loved the range of music. at one point, i started writing them down on an old sheet of paper. here it is, minus the tom waits songs. lightinin' hopkins - texas blues legend. i was sold my first lightin' record by another texas blues legend named sumter bruton. j.j. cale - okie bluesman made famous by that poser eric clapton. red elvises - a russian band along the line of gogol bordello. it's always an event (among the faithful) when they play at the sons of hermann hall in dallas. ray charles.
