But that won't keep it from making a buttload of $$. Every time I remember Will Smith in "Where the Day Takes You" or "Six Degrees"/I wanna curl up into a ball & cry. He was on his way to becoming the next Denzel. Til he decided to become a superstar superhero instead of honing his acting chops. It's a goddamnm shame... Denzel's almost too old for leading man parts by Hollywood standards for Black actors. And there's no one waiting in the wings to take up his mantle. Wesley sold out long ago. Taye Diggs is good but not stellar. Allen Payne has the chops/but he isn't commanding on the screen. Someday my prince will come... |
