    RENT THIS MOVIE!

This is the kind of work Tarantino wd be doing if he weren't such a hack. (Which I'm sure others will disagree with. But stylized violence-for-violence's sake just doesn't amount to great filmmaking in my book.) It's got major fire fights & lots of blood/so guys will like it. And 2 of the best anti-heros I've seen since Redford & Newman in 'Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid'. I dunno why I didn't hear or read shit abt this movie when it was in the theatres. It shd've done boffo box office. It's hysterical in spots/but the underlying premise -- that 2 South Boston lowlives who love God & the Catholic church wd assume the role of vigilantes in order to obliterate the worst of the big-time scumbags from the face of the Earth -- definitely left me wondering "If I were on the jury when they finally caught these guys/wd I vote to aquit or hang 'em?"

It's written & directed by some guy named Troy Duffy/whose only previous credit I cd find was as an actor in some movie called 'Conversations in Limbo' which I doubt any else has ever heard of either. But it's the best flick I've seen in months. Really good editing too.

And Willem Dafoe is in it.

AND he plays a Gay FBI agent!

It's a must see- I wish I could be like that-not a gay FBI agent but a Boondock Saint.

The best part is Willem Dafoes character Paul Smecker. He turns me on as a gay guy, and he hilarious.
