i finally saw this movie, which is a documentary of the fall '99 tour of phish.

when i noticed it was playing for one day in my hometown over christmas, i took the opportunity to escape from my family and see it. in the theater with me were the 5 other hippies in the state of virginia. it was a lovely moment.

it is a good movie to see if you like phish. i know it's not cool to be a phishhead these days, but shut up.

the plot is not particularly engaging.. it's basically some backstage shots and some candid moments and then concert moments really close up. i appreciated it because the closest i've ever seen them live is row m. to hear trey anastasio, guitarist, talk about having an orgasm when he jams, and then to see his face scrunch in ecstasy, is truly a breathtaking moment for a hippie like myself.

it's also nice to see that these guys drink alcohol constantly. they are my idols, so i will follow their lead and get wasted as often as possible. thanks, guys!

not that anyone gives a shit,

but the guitarist of phish, trey anastasio,

    looks exactly like mark thomas.

    it completely freaks me out.

I would like to see this one. My brother has a friend who appears in one scene. The film crew was cruising the parking lot and interviewed said friend of brother. Apparently, he was fairly incapacitated and rambled on about the many 'treats' available to a Phish concert-goer. When he saw the film, he was extremely embarrassed by his performance, and tried to contact the band to apologize for not talking about how much he loved the music.
