I thought there would be more fan-boy-appealling-stuff to this movie than there was. I did get a kick out of the Of Montreal poster in the guy's apartment, and some of the other stickers/posters around the store, but other than that...nothing too edgy went on. Hello, Green Day? Dick should have known they're no good. He was so cute.

I watched Say Anything... right before High Fidelity, so that I could confirm that men's faces look better when they're in their 30s. Say Anything... I like.

better than 50s? or better than 20s?

i've seen both and don't recall either.

his sister suzy looks just like him on with tits. mrs waffles said she had funny thoughts of John when she shoved her tongue down suzy's throat in the back of our car.

Say Anything is one of the sweetest movies ever. High Fidelity is dead on.

John Cusack is *the* romantic male hero of my generation.

Have he and Kevin Spacey ever appeared in a movie together?

By sarah on Thursday, June 21, 2001 - 04:05 pm:

    suzy? don't you mean joan?

By patrick on Thursday, June 21, 2001 - 04:26 pm:

    no
he has another sister named susie

    she's an actress too.

Joan lives in Chicago with the rest of the family and leads a pretty normal life. Susie is the wild child, being the youngest and all.

Suzy though, in keeping with family tradition is a lush....i mean i've never seen a gal pound liquor like her. A good bud dated her for a few weeks, but he got fed up with the drunkenness and passed her on.

    +Susie, see

the whole god damn family was in the movie including their pop dick.

i tried to find a pic of her, cause she's kinda cute

the sig.other is well on his way to having 1000 cds
    the sig.other sees High Fidelity
the sig.other calls me one night to come over immediately
the sig.other has arranged his collection autobiographically, just like in the movie.
    it took him 3 hours.

it was sweet finding the point where he met me.
    it was Robbie Williams.

By Dougie on Thursday, June 21, 2001 - 05:47 pm:

Alphabetically by genre does it for me, but that usually lasts about 2 days, by which time the cd cases are all piled up on top of the turntable top.

By Spider on Friday, June 22, 2001 - 08:01 am:

I tried to do it by genre/mood/biographical data (e.g. Dave Sardy from Barkmarket produced some Cop Shoot Cop albums, hence Barkmarket is near Cop Shoot Cop), but alas....they got all out of order within a few days.

By semillama on Friday, June 22, 2001 - 12:04 pm:

That's the problem. I have a hard enough time just organizing by genre. Where do you put Killing Joke, in with punk or post-punk? Do latert MInistry albums still count as industrial or as metal? Is Elvis Costello classic rock or new wave?

Autobiographical, I've considered. In three hours? Three days more like it. I may do it one these days though, just to see if I could.

By wisper on Sunday, June 24, 2001 - 02:25 am:

three hours, yes, but it didn't last much more than a week. To find any cd you would have to think of what sort of mood and memory the album had for you, and when it was strongest, and around what time in your life, and goddamn it, sometimes you just want to hear a damn song, not go on a memory journey.
And fuck if anyone other than him could find anything.

why not just alphabetical? it's rather sterile, but it works.
