Gerard Depardieu was great, as were the other main characters. Whose names I can't remember. Basically the plot is that this incredible dull guy is about to lose his job, and his neighbor comes up with a plot to help him keep his job: convince his company that he's gay. The company, having a large homosexual consumer base, is then afraid to fire him and risk pissing off the gay community. It's a great look at the effects of politcal correctness on modern life. And, I will venture to say it was one of the best scripted films I've seen all year. Patrick, I think you would especially like this one, given your workplace. |
