    As you know, I am a George Orwell fan.
    Which, of course, is odd.
    George Orwell is a Socialist or maybe Humanist.
    He despised Capitalism, but I still enjoy his cautionary tales of how socialism can go very wrong.
    I saw the latest adaptation in the live action film on the Hallmark Channel last night.
    It was really not too bad, except the ending was so far from the book.

    The thing about socialism is it depends on the honesty and integrity of the Party in power.
    Free Enterprise or Capatilism does as well to a lesser degree, but there is still a good system of checks and balances incase the executives are corrupt.

    socialism depends on the honesty and integrity of everyone for its health. we haven't evolved enough to handle that. probably won't ever make it that far, in fact, i don't even think it's on our evolutionary path at this point.

    It was really pretty cool.
    Not cartoon, or claymation.
    A little CGI, but mostly live animals.

    Me too, but can't eat or drink either for an hour. Just back from dentist -- temporary filling after breaking a tooth the other night crunching down on a fragment of bone from a beef rib we grilled out. Must eventually have it crowned, but my insurance company must approve it first, cocksuckers. Dude actually gave me clove oil before putting in the temp filling, just like in the Marathon Man. It's very safe, and tasty.
