    yeah, it was pretty and nice and funny and sad. A pleasant suprise.
    Crispin Glover is cute and tragic. And his middle name is Hellion.
    What the hell wouldn't i give to be named Hellion.
    You should go to the website and watch the video of him singing Michael Jackson's "Ben". It's really something.

    Plus Jackie Burroughs played his mom, and Jackie Burroughs rules, as always. I loved her in "Road to Avonlea" as that bitch Aunt Hetty. She's great.

    Road to Avonlea is one of those things that everyone has watched, but no one admits to.
    Admit it, Bigkev, you love it.

    That's Anne of Green Gables.
    "Road to Avonlea" is a tv series based on the books written after the Green Gables ones. It takes place in the same town and time period as Anne of Green Gables, but after Anne left the island. It's about the lives of the townsfolk.
    It went on FOREVER (like 7 years) and is still shown every day here in re-runs.

    It's also freakishly addictive.
    I don't know if it's the creepy wholesomeness of the thing, the curiosity of early settlement life, or the day to day foibles of that scamp Gus Pike, but it sucks you right in. Almost cult-like. Anytime i'm home during the day i watch it. Most people would admit to that too.
    Scary.

    you know, in Japan they love Anne of Green Gables. Huge amounts of Japanese tourists travel to PEI every year, and a lot of them renew their wedding vows in the same house that Lucy Maude Montgomery got married in.

    Anne Shirly's face even represents this theme park they have in Japan called Canada World. isn't it fascinating?


    Aunt Hetty is in the latest Toronto Humaine Society paid commercial and for some reason she can't stop wringing her hands the entire time she's on screen. what's up with that?
