We went and saw this last night, as I was in serious need of escapism from wrok-related stress.

Fantastic. It blew my expectations away as a movie. It's probably the best superhero movie I've seen. Tobey McGuire really steps up and becomes Peter Parker. There's really fine acting all around, with a great appearance by Bruce Campbell (of course). The effects are way better than last time, and the action is gracefull and almost poetic. The plot and writing are great. Raimi, I think, really establishes himself as a director to pay attention to with this one. Not that he wasn't before, at least in my opinion, but I think folks will really sit up and take notice.

I think that we are looking at a best picture nominee here. It pretty much stands head and shoulders above any other movie I've seen this year.

has a comic book movie ever taken best picture?

I thought it was fantastic, and I had such high hopes I was surprised that it was able to live up to them. Here's hoping part three doesn't dissapoint, as it usually does in these cases. I'm really hoping to see some Venom soon, too!

I loved the part on the train where you see Phil Lamarr just standing there, not saying anything, not doing anything. the poor guy must have gone for a cameo and ended up getting cut. I loves me some Phil Lamarr!

Yes, Phil is cool. He's done a lot of voicework on some of my favorite shows, including Futurama, Family Guy and Harvey Birdman.

Alfred Molina was brilliant in Spiderman 2.
He was so natural, really amazing.

p,s, Phil Lamar is Samurai Jack!

Alfred Molina could play a dead slug. He'd be convincing and compelling, too.

I loved SpiderMan2, but I'd have to say that X-Men2 is still my favorite super hero movie.
