what did it mean? did he do it or didn't he? but i did enjoy his litany of consumerism (esp. in the beginning when he was taking his shower and went down the list of what products he used). the scene with the business cards was pretty good too - all of these look alike yuppies trying to out-cool each other by having the most elegantly tasteful business card. but....that ending. what the fuck was that all about??? |
I plan to skip 'American Psycho'. The only movies I'm panting to catch are 'Magnolia', 'The Green Mile' & 'Boys Don't Cry' when they hit the 2nd-run theatre down the street. I'm already feeling nauseous from the nascent hype of the summer-blockbuster-action-releases. Looks like 'MI2' will be 1st out the gate. But I just may have to go & check out Thandie opposite Tom Cruise. (I wonder what she had to do to get *that* role... They even have a love scene!) I cd use a really good comedy this weekend. Maybe I'll actually stand on line & check out 'High Fidelity'. I think Cusack is one of the best/most versatile actors around. He really never gets his props. |

Green Mile is a good movie (it gets crappy reviews from the guys over in the DVD forums because "it isn't as good as Shawshank Redemption" or "it's too long" or "I hate anything with Tom Hanks" blah blah blah. I liked it though and have the DVD on pre-order. Didn't know it was a true story though....kinda doubt it personally. But I'm the Natural Born Skeptic. |
