Back in 1970 my family moved from a small town in another state to the Seattle area. We went from 2 theaters, a drive-in that played only G films and a regular theater that played only X, to a big city with lots of movies. My brother and I were in high school at the time and were very dazzled by the choices. We lied to my parents about where we were going and went downtown to see a movie. By the time we got downtown the only movie that had not yet started was "Krakatoa, East of Java". One's first clue that this is a bad movie is that Krakatoa was actually *west* of Java. It is an extremely poor special-effects movie about the volcanic explosion that destroyed the island of Krakatoa back in the 19th century. It has zero redeeming value, it isn't unintentionally funny or camp, it's just bad. We got lost coming home, my parents found out we lied, and we got grounded, all for the worst movie I ever saw.
